At last the football pitches in Boston Manor Park are being used
for organised activity with the arrival of the Spartans Youth Football
Club on
September 9th, 2006.
Aimed at 7-11 year olds, Spartans will be using the football
pitches on Wednesday evenings during the light nights, have training
sessions on Saturdays between 9 and 12, and will be there again on Sunday
Mornings for matches.
The Club is affiliated to Middlesex Youth Football and have links
to Watford Football Club. Membership to Spartans is £40.00
per year and all income will be reinvested into the club, being a non profit
making organisation.
The Friends of Boston Manor envisage families coming and using
the other facilities within the park, including the play and BBQ areas
whilst the young footballers develop their skills and have fun on the pitch.
